Kashishibog Lake Island Camp

Our Kashishibog Lake Island outpost camp is unique in its location upon an island nestled into a narrow channel connecting the east and west sides of Kashishibog Lake. As our most popular outpost, Kashishigob Island is a camp rich with history having housed guests for many decades. It is situated only 10 feet from the lakeshore and faces southwest. The generous front deck sees breathtaking sunsets. This outpost is well suited for 6-12 people. A minimum booking of 6 people is required for this cabin. The lake is 8000 acres of dark stained water and features a highly structured environment. In 2007 we installed a solar lighting system, built a new crib dock and upgraded the phone system. Consider this camp for a larger archery moose hunting group this fall.

Guests can fish a different area each day and will find walleye, northern pike, whitefish and lake trout in generous numbers. You may spend years fishing this lake without exploring all of it. When water levels permit, Savage Lake may be reached via a boatable portage. Our largest northern of the 2006 season measured 46 inches and was caught from the Kash Island camp and the largest northern in 2007 was 47 1/8 inches. Walleye caught on this lake consistently measure in the upper 20 inch range with the largest in 2005 coming in at 32 inches! Boating equipment at this camp includes 6-14 foot Lund boats with 9.9 hp Yamaha motors.
