Survey Lake
Our Survey Lake outpost camp is a particularly picturesque spot located in a rolling terrain with lush mixed forest. The camp sits just 50 feet from the lake, featuring a sandy beach and solar-powered lights. This outpost is well suited for 4-6 people, although up to 8 may be accommodated comfortably. A minimum of 2 people is required for booking this camp. The lake system is 2500 acres of dark stained water and boasts abundant walleye and northern pike. We only operate this outpost camp to mid-July due to water levels not allowing full access to areas all season long. In 2007 we upgraded the phone system for your security. Consider this camp for your archery moose this fall.
There are several rivers and creeks running in and out of Survey Lake as well as a beautiful set of waterfalls. There are also 3 portage lakes to explore: Z1, Pats and Silk. Each portage lake has its own set of boats and motors and are raeched by walking trails. Silk Lake is also a popular spot for lake trout early in the season. This camp is highly recommended for its variety. The biggest walleye caught on Survey in 2003 measured 28" and was caught right off the dock! Again in 2005 and 2007, a 28" walleye was caught. Northerns caught on Survey regularly measure over 30" with the largest for 2004 measuring 42" and in 2006 measuring 41". Boating equipment at this camp includes 4-14 foot Lund boats with 8 hp Yamaha motors.
