Whitebirch Lake
Our Whitebirch Lake outpost camp is located in a secluded cove, surrounded by a young lush pine and spruce forest. The outpost sits just 50 feet from the lake and faces south. This camp has solar-powered lights and is perfect for 4-6 people, although up to 8 may be accommodated comfortably. Whitebirch lake outpost also features a generous front porch and sandy beach. A group of 2 people is welcome at this lake. This camp was closed for most of the 2006 season to receive some needed renovations like a new fish cleaning hut, removal of old docks and cabins and a new floor in the main camp. In 2007 we upgraded the phone system. Consider this camp for your archery moose hunt this fall.
The lake is 1800 acres of dark stained water, has highly structured shoreline and boasts an abundance of walleye and northern pike as well as perch. The lake contains many underwater shoals and islands which are perfect for walleye fishing. Anyone can look like a fishing pro at this lake! There is also a portage lake, Fatima, which is connected by a river to Whitebirch Lake. A short 400 yard wald through the bush will have you paddling into Fatima lake in no time. The biggest walleye caught on Whitebirch Lake in 2003 measured 27 inches and in 2005 measured 25 inches. Northerns regularly measure over 30" as well with the largest northern caught in 2004 measuring 43". Boating equipment at this camp includes 3-14 foot Lund boats with 8 hp Yamaha motors.
